DOPE ONE
Workbench

The one-person formulation bench behind every DOPE ONE SKU. No inherited house, no imported brief — self-taught, obsessive, and wear-tested in Delhi heat since day one.

No inherited house

It started with a love for fragrance, not a perfumery degree or a family atelier. No lineage, no institutional training. A question that kept coming back: could this be made at home? That question became years of self-taught formulation — sourcing raw materials, diluting, blending, failing, refining. The bench was built from obsession, not certification.

The Delhi thesis

Most fragrances are designed for European weather. Tested in Paris in April, evaluated in controlled rooms, calibrated for 18°C and low humidity. They perform beautifully for six hours in those conditions. Then a Delhi summer happens.

Every DOPE ONE SKU is formulated and wear-tested at 40°C and above, in real Delhi conditions, because that is where it lives. Climate performance is not a marketing claim. It is the formulation brief.

How we test

Each batch is worn through a full Delhi day before it ships — morning application, afternoon sun exposure, evening assessment. Longevity, projection, and drydown behaviour are logged against the benchmark wear test. If a batch does not meet the standard, it does not go out.

Keeping volumes small is the quality system. One bench, one nose, full control over every variable. Hitesh formulates every batch by hand.

One bench, full control

Solo operation is not a constraint — it is the architecture. Every batch passes through the same hands and the same nose. There are no handoffs, no contractors, no outsourced production runs. What this means in practice: every bottle is traceable to a decision, and every decision has a reason.

DOPE ONE Workbench is the one-person formulation bench behind every SKU. No inherited house, no imported brief — self-taught, obsessive, and wear-tested in Delhi heat. The work is in the bottle.
